{"id":3601,"date":"2023-07-21T09:15:19","date_gmt":"2023-07-21T15:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/?p=3601"},"modified":"2024-04-26T12:30:24","modified_gmt":"2024-04-26T18:30:24","slug":"aliansalud-red-centroamerica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/en\/2023\/07\/21\/aliansalud-red-centroamerica\/","title":{"rendered":"AlianSalud: A new Central American network of private health providers contributing to the response to HIV in the region\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In July and August of 2023, Asociaci\u00f3n PASMO launched AlianSalud (The name combines the words \u201calliances\u201d and \u201chealth\u201d), a Central American network of private laboratories and clinics that provide high quality health services focused on user needs and contribute to the national HIV\/STI responses in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Panama. The network was launched during the first Central American Clinical Congress \u201cAlianSalud\u201d: Trends and innovations in HIV treatment and prevention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In April 2020, Asociaci\u00f3n PASMO began the \u201cPrevention Services against HIV\u201d project in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Panama with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project works to improve the access of vulnerable populations to HIV and other STI prevention services in close coordination with private healthcare providers, especially private laboratories and clinics that are aligned to the national plans and strategies driven by the ministries of health.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3605 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rotulo-24x16-pulgada-01-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rotulo-24x16-pulgada-01-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rotulo-24x16-pulgada-01-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rotulo-24x16-pulgada-01-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rotulo-24x16-pulgada-01-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rotulo-24x16-pulgada-01-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rotulo-24x16-pulgada-01-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Currently, PASMO works through more than 100 private points of services where users can have access to free and high-quality services such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HIV rapid test at PASMO\u2019s private laboratory partners<\/li>\n<li>Profilaxis preexposici\u00f3n (<a href=\"http:\/\/asociacionpasmo.org\/en\/2022\/05\/13\/descubre-todo-sobre-prep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PrEP<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Laboratories and clinics that want to join to the AlianSalud network will receive technical assistance, support, and accompaniment from PASMO in areas such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022Strengthening and contribution to the national response to HIV.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022Trainings and updates in new clinic and non-clinic topics, virtual and personal.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022Promotion, positioning, and generation of demand for the services provided, including other services provided by the clinic or laboratory.<\/li>\n<li>Quality management and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022Accreditation given by PASMO as clinics and laboratories that meet quality standards.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022Support for national accreditations given by health entities.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022Marking of health services as \u201czones free of stigma and discrimination\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How to join the AlianSalud network<\/p>\n<p>Interested parties can contact their local Asociaci\u00f3n PASMO office and the Clinical Services Department to begin the administrative process to join the network.
